Naam-Kirttan

Naam-Kirttan means recital of name, that is lord's name. Srimanta Sankaradeva, the founder of Vaishnavite order Eka Sarana Nama Dharma authored the famous scripture 'Kirttan-Ghosha' for his followers so that they could sing the hymns as prayers. The hymns in this scripture is full of glory of lord Krishna and his name. These are sung with classical melody as the saint was a great musician. A chapter of this scripture is sung here by the devotees of Nikamul Sattra, Tezpur.
