Bhortaal Nritya
The
Bhortaal Nritya is one of the unique creative presentations of Barpeta Than. Two
maestros of Sattriya culture from Barpeta deserve the approbation for this Bhortaal
Nritya. They were Mahananda Sutradhar (1918 - 1979) and Narahari Burhabhakat (1913 - 1985). The present recital was performed during the website launch function of Society for Srimanta Sankaradeva in Guwahati on January 1, 2012.
