Add-on course on ‘Manuscript and Manuscriptology’

Society for Srimanta Sankaradeva has launched yet another initiative. It is going to start a six-month add-on course on ‘Manuscript and Manuscriptology’ in Jagiroad College (Autonomous).

The course will start from September 19th September, 2026. Applications have already been received from 26th August. One can apply upto 6th September for enrolment in the course.

Sankardev Study Centre of Jagiroad College will manage the course in collaboration with Society for Srimanta Sankaradeva. Heritage expert Mridu Moucham Bora has designed the course. He will also supervise it.

This course will cover the manuscript tradition of Assam, manuscript studies, inscription preparation, study, preservation etc in detail. All students who have passed the second year of Higher Secondary (10+2 Passed), Arts-Science-Commerce are eligible to participate in this course.

There are also opportunities for students from other colleges or institutions besides Jagiroad College to enrol in this course.
